WHAT IS A REST DAY?
Some of us barely have enough motivation to get to the gym, but others are there 5+ days a week, highly determined to reach their goals.  We’re so proud of all workouts that you complete – but if you’ve been exercising hard all week, your body needs a day off.
Rest from your usual high-intensity workout and make sure to stay hydrated and get enough sleep.  This doesn’t mean that you can’t exercise, just focus on energizing activities such as hiking outdoors, a yoga stretch class, or biking with friends.

BENEFITS OF RESTING:

  • Decreased Risk of Injuries
  • Minimize Fatigue
  • Prevent Mental Burnout
  • Build Strength
  • Recharge and get ready for the week ahead

STOP TRACKING YOUR MEALS

What?!  As part of the Holiday Weight Loss Challenge, we encouraged members to track what they are eating 6 days/week.  By concentrating on healthy, filling foods all week, and saving their cravings for the “day off,” it’s much easier to stick with the plan.

Try taking 1 day off this week and let us know what you think!
