Your body is smart!  Doing the same exercises over and over (same range of motion, angles, etc) doesn’t challenge your body.  If your body isn’t challenged, you won’t see changes.

To avoid hitting a plateau, you need to vary your workout methods.  This means using machines, barbells, kettle bells, the BOSU and resistance bands.

Here’s why resistance bands are great:

  • They allow you to move freely for greater range of motion Bands create resistance in every direction, not just against gravity, so you have to work harder.
  • They allow you to mimic real-life movements (read more about functional fitness here)
  • Bands can be used alone (choose different colors for different degrees of difficulty to customize your workout) or in combination with stability balls, the step, and more!
