Monday Morning Fit Tip:


1.  Exercise!

Exercise is one of the best ways to increase your metabolism.  Try 30-60 minutes of cardio 5 times a week OR high intensity cardio for 30 minutes at least 3 times a week.  Group Fitness classes are a great way to keep motivated and new classes are starting now!

2.  Strength Train!

Strength training also helps to boost metabolism by creating more muscle mass.  Aim to train each major muscle group 2 or 3 days per week (not on consecutive days) using a variety of exercises.  For example, you could strength train M, W, F and focus on cardio T, Th, Sat.  You could also incorporate cardio exercises into your strength training days to be more effective and efficient!

3.  Eat!

Another way to boost metabolism is to eat regularly.  Don’t fast and then binge, or overdose on sugar which causes cravings.  It may be helpful for you to eat 5 small, healthy meals throughout the day.
