Meet Shelia!

I started teaching back in 1996.
My favorite instructor left, and several class members thought I could teach, so I tried – and found that I loved it!
Turbo Kick is my absolute favorite workout; it’s not difficult to do, and works your entire body while making you feel extra strong!  Boot Camp runs a real close second though!

Members always ask…

“How do I lose this?” (pointing to a body part) and I say:
  • BE CONSISTENT: Your body will change in due time with the right exercise and eating better.
  • DON’T STARVE YOURSELF: Make reasonable goals and small changes that you can continue for a lifetime.
  • REMEMBER: you only spend a little bit of time at the gym.  It’s what you do the other hours that are key to success!

When I get bored with my workout…

I just start making stuff up – whatever feels good!
Dance classes have a mishmash of stuff that makes me feel good.  I like trying routines from other fitness professionals – if it looks fun AND challenging, I’ll try it!

I love my East Club ladies!

Thank you for keeping me motivated!
You lift my spirits when I get down, especially when you tell me that I’ve helped you reach a goal!  I think a great workout should be fun and challenging, so I work you hard – but it’s all done in love!
