Fit Tip: Give Your Body a Boost

With spring just around the corner, we’re still knee-deep in cold and flu season.  Along with washing your hands with soap and avoiding people who are ill, how else can you protect yourself from getting sick?


  1. LIFT WEIGHTS - Regular resistance exercise increases white-cell counts, which may be helpful for fighting certain infections.
  2. EAT CLEAN - A proper diet helps keep your body strong and prepared to combat germs.
  3. DE-STRESS - Stress weakens your immune system.  Find ways to release stress such as relaxing with friends, meditating, or practicing yoga.
  4. CARDIO - Physical activity helps bolster the immune system.  If you get bored on the treadmill or elliptical, try a fun class!
