Fit Tip: Choose Heart-Healthy Snacks

Healthy snacking can help you reach your goals while feeling satisfied.  Here are some delicious ideas to help you stay on track:
Go for green pepper sticks, broccoli, carrots, celery, or unsalted rice cakes.  Need dip?  Try hummus!
How about baked apples, raisins, grapes (try them frozen!), low-fat or greek yogurt, clementines or even dark chocolate?

Unsalted sunflower seeds, low-fat yogurt or cheese, cherry or grape tomatoes, unsalted almonds or walnuts.

* * *BONUS TIPS* * *
Prepare your snacks ahead of time.  Wash and cut your produce soon after grocery shopping, then portion into individual containers.  Take a bottle of water and a snack with you to work or when running errands, and avoid temptation like a pro!
