Fit Tip: Eat Kale AND Spinach

Posted on March 10, 2014 at 6:30 am
We’re kicking off National Nutrition Month with a Challenge:

Which one is healthier?
Spinach has more Vitamin A, fiber, protein, calcium and iron.  However, Kale is a superfood when it comes to Vitamins K and C, and is lower in calories.  Both contain healthy omega-3 fatty acids.
It’s a tie!
You need nutrients from BOTH of these heart-healthy foods in a well-balanced diet.  When planning your meals, remember to eat all colors of the rainbow!

Your Mission

should you choose to accept it… is to try adding a NEW leafy green to your regular salads, soups, or side dishes!  Find tasty recipes on Pinterest, or share below!
