I am so happy with my Biggest Loser experience at Victory Fitness Center. I had started my weight loss journey in March of 2013. I lost around 30 pounds on my own working out at home because I didn’t have the confidence yet to hit the gym. In April, I ended up joining Victory because I loved the atmosphere, the trainers seemed nice, and the price was great. I loved the classes and cardio machines, which brought my weight loss to around 90 pounds total in only 5 months!
I saw that they were advertising for Biggest Loser and I thought to myself, “I am already working so hard to lose weight, so why not get paid for doing it?” I am a really competitive person and I feel like that was why I was so successful with this program because I wanted it so bad and pushed myself so hard. In the beginning of Biggest Loser, I had my eyes on the prize and that was all I was worried about.
Biggest Loser ended up being so much more than a competition. I met great people that I am still friends with today, brought my total weight loss to 141 pounds, turned the way I thought about nutrition upside down, and, most importantly, realized what my body can do and how far it can take me! I have new goals set, am heading towards my goal weight, and plan on running a Tough Mudder August 2014. Biggest Loser was the most fun I have had at Victory and I would definitely recommend this for anyone who needs a kick start in their weight loss journey!

I am very excited to have been a part of the Biggest Loser Program at Victory East! The training and coaching that I received made all the difference in the world.
Prior to joining I had lost a few pounds, but the program gave me that jump start and accountability that I needed to lose a total of 39 pounds thus far! Thank you Melinda, my trainer, and the other staff that assisted me along the way. Round 2 here I come!
Justin – Spring 2013 Winner
I’ve been overweight for almost all of my life. I have tried to lose it before on my own but I never really stuck with it, because I didn’t know what to do, or why I was doing it. During the summer of 2012 I was going to the gym about twice a week, and just doing a little cardio. I lost 30 pounds! I was excited because it was the first time I’d seen results, but then I quit again.
When I started the contest in January 2013, I was quiet and shy and I hated it. I didn’t want to workout with the trainers or other contestants because I didn’t want anyone to see how out of shape I was, but I gave it my best. It was hard and I thought about quitting, then in the second class I fell and landed on my knees. A trainer and a contestant came to check on me. If it was not for the encouragement from the trainer and the other contestants I would have not been able to finish it. That’s when I knew that these people were not all that bad, and decided to come back to another class, and not long after that I was coming in every day for a biggest loser class. Not long after that I made friends at the gym and was having fun! I never thought I would have said that.
I look back at these 12 weeks and realize that it was hard and challenging – but I was so worth it! Losing 46 pounds during the 12 weeks is awesome but so is doing things that I have never done! I never dreamt I’d be able to run on the treadmill, do a bear crawl, or ride my bike around the neighborhood! Now after the Biggest Loser I am always doing something; I’m doing more outside, more classes at Victory, and I’m not as quiet and shy as I was just 4 months ago! It has been one of the hardest things I have done, but it has truly changed my life.
